A note from pastor Brandon...
Over the years I
have met myriads of people who
are out giving
churches a test
drive. If you will, they’re kicking spiritual tires of the
church to see if it meets their needs. Through this I have met
people who are skeptical, scared, hurt, angry, reluctant,
cautious and broken just to name a few. They are at a point
where they know something in their life or family needs to
change, but they’re not yet convinced that Jesus and his church
can really help.
About 2000 years ago a man named Phillip was invited by Jesus to
follow and learn from him. After Phillip spent just a little
time with Jesus he went to a friend named Nathaniel and told him
that he had found what he was looking for. Nathaniel, like many
today, was skeptical and reluctant. Phillip’s response to
Nathaniel is one I like. He was not critical, judgmental or
condemning. He simply said, “Come and See.” In other words, give
Jesus a chance and judge for yourself.
If you’re one of those who is skeptical, scared, hurt, angry,
reluctant, cautious & broken, I would like to offer you a
challenge—Come and See! Come and see this Jesus and judge for
yourself. Come and see that Jesus can make a huge difference in
your life and family. Come and see that His church at Valley
View is simply real people with real faith on an incredible
journey.
While reluctant, Nathaniel accepted the challenge of “Come and
see.” He discovered Jesus was exactly who Phillip said he was.
Join us this Sunday and see if Jesus really is someone who can
impact your life.
Pointing People to Christ,
Brandon
